Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 26' box truck to deliver freight on time and within the designated route.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to weight limits and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and complete all necessary paperwork (BOL, delivery receipts) accurately.
- Provide exceptional customer service to receivers and shippers while representing the Prime Logistics brand.
- Keep the vehicle clean and organized, both inside and out.
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding delays, route changes, or maintenance needs.
Qualifications
- Must own a reliable 26' box truck (GVWR 26,001 lbs or less).
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Proof of current commercial auto insurance (minimum liability coverage as required by state law).
- Experience with local delivery and freight hauling is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during loading and unloading.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety and on-time delivery.
