Responsibilities
- Operate Commercial Box Truck: Safely transport cargo to designated delivery locations throughout the Detroit metro area and surrounding regions.
- Fleet Maintenance: Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and reliability.
- Cargo Handling: Secure and unload freight efficiently, ensuring all items arrive at their destination in pristine condition.
- Documentation: Complete all necessary delivery paperwork, bills of lading, and electronic logging devices (ELD) accurately.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients and warehouse personnel to maintain a positive reputation for our company.
- Route Planning: Optimize delivery routes to minimize fuel consumption and maximize efficiency.
Qualifications
- Ownership: Must own a 26ft Box Truck or similar commercial vehicle.
- License: Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class B) or valid Class C with appropriate endorsements (if applicable).
- Experience: Proven experience as an Owner Operator or professional driver.
- Background Check: Clean driving record and background check.
- Communication: Ability to communicate clearly via radio, phone, and email.
- Reliability: Strong work ethic and commitment to meeting delivery deadlines.
