Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks and commercial vehicles on local and regional delivery routes.
- Load and unload freight efficiently, ensuring cargo is secured and protected.
- Complete necessary shipping and receiving paperwork accurately and on time.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance while representing the company brand.
- Communicate clearly with dispatch regarding traffic conditions and delivery delays.
- Adhere strictly to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and DOT regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience driving box trucks or similar commercial vehicles.
- Current DOT medical card and valid commercial liability insurance.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong customer service skills and professional communication abilities.
- Ownership of a well-maintained box truck or ability to secure financing/leasing.
- Ability to lift and handle packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
