Responsibilities
- Safely operate personal box truck for local/regional deliveries in Durham Triangle area
- Manage end-to-end delivery process including loading, unloading, and paperwork
- Maintain vehicle in optimal condition through proactive maintenance checks
- Optimize routes for efficiency while adhering to delivery time windows
- Provide exceptional customer service during all client interactions
- Coordinate with dispatch team for seamless load scheduling
- Track and report delivery metrics and vehicle performance
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck experience with proven safety record
- Reliable late-model box truck (24-26ft) with valid registration
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during loading/unloading
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Basic mechanical knowledge for preventative maintenance
- Professional communication and customer service abilities
- Flexibility to work varying shifts including early mornings/weekends
