Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers on dedicated routes within Washington, DC and surrounding regions
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations including HOS logging and pre/post-trip inspections
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logging systems
- Build strong client relationships through professional communication and on-time service
- Operate in all weather conditions while prioritizing cargo security and vehicle maintenance
- Collaborate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization and problem resolution
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable OTR driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices and transportation software
- Strong time management skills and commitment to safety protocols
- Flexibility for overnight trips and weekend schedules as needed
- Knowledge of Washington, DC metro area traffic patterns and regulations
