Responsibilities
- Safely transport K-12 students on designated routes according to schedules
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Enforce student safety protocols during loading/unloading procedures
- Maintain accurate attendance and incident reporting
- Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local transportation regulations
- Participate in ongoing safety training and professional development
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Child CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
