As a Freight Driver, you will play a crucial role in keeping our supply chain moving efficiently across the Madison area and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling and securing cargo to prevent damage.
- Interact professionally with customers and verify delivery details.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of all trips and delivery activities.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B (depending on vehicle type).
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Experience in freight hauling or delivery driving is preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor vehicle maintenance checks.
