Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school on designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain strict adherence to traffic laws and safety protocols
- Manage student behavior with positive reinforcement techniques
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Complete daily logs and incident reports accurately
- Assist students with mobility needs including wheelchair lifts
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or willingness to obtain through our paid training program
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to obtain required school bus endorsement
- Experience working with children preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility devices
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible hours (early mornings and afternoons)
