Responsibilities
- Operate heavy dump trucks to transport materials to and from job sites.
- Load and unload materials safely and efficiently using forklifts or hand tools.
- Maintain accurate daily logs and adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Ensure cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors.
- Uphold a zero-tolerance policy for safety violations.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience (commercial or heavy equipment).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Physically able to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and mechanical systems.
