As a Weekend Truck Driver, you'll operate our modern fleet to deliver goods across Texas and surrounding states. This weekend-focused role offers predictable schedules, no overnight trips, and the opportunity to earn premium weekend differential pay. Responsibilities
- Operate Class A commercial vehicles safely to transport freight across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations
- Load/unload cargo efficiently with proper handling techniques
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation
- Adapt routes to avoid traffic and ensure timely weekend deliveries
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Uphold strict safety protocols and represent SwiftHaul professionally
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
- Excellent time management and route navigation skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work Saturdays and Sundays with occasional holiday shifts
