Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) to transport goods within Boston metro area
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols at all times
- Optimize delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient service
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Handle freight loading/unloading with proper equipment and techniques
- Represent Metro Logistics with professionalism in all customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work varied shifts
- Knowledge of Boston area traffic patterns and delivery zones
- DOT medical certification and required endorsements (Hazmat a plus)
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service excellence
- Pass background check and drug screening
