Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver packages to residential and commercial locations across Washington DC
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain customer signatures for high-value shipmentsOptimize delivery routes using GPS navigation to ensure timely weekend deliveries
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Adhere to all traffic laws and Capital Express safety protocols
- Collaborate with dispatch team to resolve delivery exceptions
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Strong knowledge of Washington DC neighborhoods and traffic patterns
- Weekend availability (Saturday/Sunday, 6 AM - 6 PM)
- Excellent time management and route optimization skills
- Basic smartphone proficiency for delivery apps
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Prior delivery or logistics experience preferred
