Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (box trucks or tractor-trailers) for local/regional deliveries
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation systems
- Inspect vehicles pre/post-trip and report maintenance needs
- Accurately complete delivery paperwork and electronic logs
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Secure cargo and ensure proper handling of sensitive materials
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Familiarity with Boston metro area and New England geography
- Basic knowledge of electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Twic card preferred for port access routes
