Responsibilities
- Safe Vehicle Operation: Operate commercial vans and delivery vehicles on assigned routes in a safe, timely, and courteous manner.
- Load & Unload: Safely load, secure, and unload cargo using hand trucks and pallet jacks, ensuring proper weight distribution.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers and clients, maintaining a positive brand image during every delivery.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting any mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately.
- Route Management: Follow GPS and route maps efficiently to optimize delivery times and minimize fuel consumption.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage logs, and incident reports as required by law and company policy.
Qualifications
- Valid License: Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or equivalent with a clean driving record (no major violations within the last 3 years).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in local delivery driving or commercial van operation.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to read maps and GPS devices effectively.
- Professionalism: Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a commitment to safety and compliance.
- Tools: Reliable personal vehicle for commuting (if applicable) or willingness to use company vehicle.
