Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vans to transport goods and materials safely to designated delivery points.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo using hand trucks, dollies, or forklifts (certified drivers preferred).
- Observe traffic laws and maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions and handle payments or signatures.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior to ensure cargo security.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is preferred but not always required for light van work.
- Current DOT medical card or the ability to obtain one.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record (no major violations within the last 3 years).
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Basic proficiency with handheld scanning devices and delivery software.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to navigate routes efficiently.
