Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, including pallet jacks, forklifts, and hand trucks.
- Safely operate commercial vehicles on local roadways and highways while adhering to all traffic laws.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, electronic logging devices (ELD), and delivery receipts.
- Interact professionally with customers and warehouse staff to ensure high satisfaction levels.
- Adhere strictly to all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures at all times.
- Keep the vehicle clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or Class B (Class A preferred for freight hauling).
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) and valid DOT physical.
- Clean driving record with no major violations (DUI, Reckless Driving) within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of local Columbus and Ohio geography.
- Physical ability to lift, push, pull, and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
