Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) in a safe, legal, and efficient manner to meet delivery schedules.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload freight accurately and securely, ensuring cargo protection during transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all necessary documentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries and pickups, including handling paperwork.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and traffic laws at all times.
- Report mechanical issues or safety concerns to management immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Must possess a current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT physical) valid for the duration of employment.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years (long-haul or local preferred).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations or DUIs within the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor as needed for loading/unloading.
