Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) safely and efficiently to deliver cargo to designated locations in San Jose and surrounding areas.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Secure cargo properly and adhere to all weight and balance regulations to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, miles traveled, and delivery records (ELD usage).
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the vehicle interior and exterior at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and safety protocols.
- Excellent time management and navigation skills.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy loads and performing manual labor duties.
