Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers in a safe and professional manner at all times.
- Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring weight distribution is correct and securing loads properly.
- Maintain accurate logs and electronic logging device (ELD) compliance at all times.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and report defects.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and regulations.
- Foster a safe driving culture by wearing seatbelts and minimizing distractions.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding pickup and delivery times.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or Class B license (Commercial Driver's License).
- Current DOT Medical Card (Medical Examiner's Certificate).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- 2+ years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as required.
- Strong communication skills and basic math skills for cargo verification.
