Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A tractor-trailers on designated routes throughout California and the Western United States.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any defects or safety issues immediately.
- Load and secure cargo using straps, chains, and bars, ensuring weight distribution is balanced and compliant.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records, adhering to FMCSA Hours of Service regulations.
- Deliver freight to customers in a timely manner, ensuring the highest standards of customer service and safety.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes, delays, and arrival times.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and industry regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class A) with the required endorsements (Tanker, Hazmat, Doubles/Triples are a plus).
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) or DOT Medical Card.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no more than 3 preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience within the last 3 years.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual loading tasks as needed.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Willingness to pass a background check and drug screen.
