Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers on regional routes within North Carolina and surrounding states
- Complete pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety policies
- Load/unload freight efficiently with proper securing techniques
- Manage delivery documentation and electronic logging systems
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route changes or delays
- Represent the company professionally with all clients and stakeholders
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with regional Charlotte-area routes and traffic patterns
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Basic smartphone proficiency for electronic logging apps
- Reliable transportation to/from starting location
