Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) to transport goods across Virginia and surrounding states
- Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle maintenance compliance
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols at all times
- Document trip logs, cargo manifests, and delivery paperwork accurately
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team regarding route status and delays
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with all state/federal laws
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Virginia traffic laws and route planning
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Excellent time management and communication skills
