Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or Class B) on local and long-haul routes within the Long Beach area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently and securely using proper equipment.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic logging device (ELD) records in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies while driving.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required. (We offer training for Class A if you have a clean driving record).
- Achieve a minimum of a Class B or Class A license with the proper endorsements (Tanker, Hazmat, etc. preferred).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and reporting purposes.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
