Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A or Class B vehicles in a safe and legally compliant manner.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) to ensure vehicle safety.
- Load and unload cargo safely using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling techniques.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, bills of lading, and delivery receipts.
- Interact professionally with customers, ensuring satisfaction and resolving delivery issues on-site.
- Adhere strictly to all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
- Keep the truck and trailer clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or Class B driver's license with a clean driving record (MVR check required).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Strong knowledge of local Kansas City, MO, and surrounding region routes.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading.
