Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks (24-26ft) for local/regional freight delivery
- Maintain clean driving record and DOT-compliant vehicle documentation
- Optimize routes for timely deliveries while adhering to schedules
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding shipment status
- Secure cargo according to industry standards
- Manage all paperwork including bills of lading and delivery confirmations
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean MVR (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck or straight truck experience
- Reliable 24-26ft box truck (2007 or newer preferred)
- Current DOT medical certification
- Proof of commercial auto insurance ($1M liability)
- Smartphone with reliable data/internet access
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs occasionally
- Strong customer service and communication skills
