Responsibilities
- Safe Loading & Unloading: Safely load and unload cargo onto delivery trucks, ensuring all items are secured properly.
- Route Management: Navigate efficiently between delivery stops, utilizing GPS systems and adhering to established routes.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, receiving payments, and obtaining signatures as required.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues immediately.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License: Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred, but general delivery experience is considered.
- Clean Record: Must possess a clean driving record and be willing to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to use handheld scanners.
- Experience: Previous experience in logistics, delivery, or freight transportation is a plus.
