Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van and refrigerated) across the Southeast region
- Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain accurate logs via ELD systems
- Inspect vehicles before/after trips and report maintenance needs
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient loading/unloading procedures
- Deliver freight to distribution centers and retail locations
- Manage time-sensitive deliveries while maintaining safety standards
- Communicate with customers and team members regarding shipment status
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and hazmat compliance
- Strong time management and route planning skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Experience with ELD systems and digital logs
- Flexibility for overnight trips and weekend schedules
