Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial trucks over long distances and on various road conditions.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or by hand, ensuring cargo security.
- Complete and maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) logs and all necessary delivery paperwork.
- Adhere strictly to all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Maintain a clean driving record and a professional appearance at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid and current Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Current DOT Medical Card (medical certification).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable OTR (Over-the-Road) driving experience.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
