Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers for regional deliveries between Charlotte, NC and Georgia markets
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere to DOT regulations and HOS compliance for all operations
- Load/unload freight using forklifts when required (no-touch freight primary)
- Communicate with dispatch team using ELD systems for real-time route updates
- Document delivery exceptions and customer service interactions
- Maintain clean driving record and safety certifications
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with minimum 1 year verifiable experience
- Clean MVR (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Familiarity with regional routes between NC/GA
- Basic knowledge of ELD systems and trip planning software
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Flexibility for early morning start times (4:00 AM)
