Job Overview
As a Truck Driver at Apex Logistics, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across the Jacksonville region and surrounding areas. We pride ourselves on safety and reliability, and we are looking for individuals who share these values.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers safely and efficiently in accordance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation, including electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery receipts.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients at delivery and pickup locations.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and adhere to company dress code standards.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Minimum of 1 year of driving experience preferred (Recent graduates with clean records may be considered).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT physical).
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
