Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers for local and regional routes within Texas
- Complete daily pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs
- Load/unload freight using proper techniques and equipment
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols at all times
- Communicate with dispatch regarding delivery status and potential delays
- Manage paperwork including bills of lading and delivery confirmations
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Texas roadways and delivery procedures
- Basic understanding of electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including early mornings
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
