Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles on highways and local delivery routes.
- Adhere to all federal and state traffic laws, FMCSA regulations, and company safety policies.
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and logbooks.
- Load and unload freight efficiently using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Provide exceptional customer service during pickup and delivery transactions.
- Report any vehicle maintenance needs or safety hazards immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Current Medical Card (DOT compliant).
- Strong understanding of logbook regulations and safety protocols.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
