Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport various materials, including soil, gravel, asphalt, and demolition debris.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and mechanical integrity.
- Load and unload materials efficiently, adhering to weight limits and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate driver logs (ELD) and comply with DOT hours-of-service regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding delivery schedules and route changes.
- Ensure the truck cab and bed are kept clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (no DUIs within the last 7 years).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience driving dump trucks in a professional setting.
- Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Ability to operate air brakes, hydraulic lifts, and basic dump truck controls.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Must be able to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
