Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following strict safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Manage student behavior with professionalism and create a respectful bus environment
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and transportation officials
- Adhere to all traffic laws, school district policies, and emergency procedures
- Complete accurate daily logs and incident reports
- Assist students with boarding/exiting, including those with special needs
Qualifications
- Valid Nebraska Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus endorsement
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience
- Pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work early mornings and afternoons (part-time schedule)
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred
- Experience working with children or vulnerable populations
