Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight within Santa Ana and surrounding areas
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Load/unload shipments using proper equipment following safety protocols
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, hours-of-service rules, and delivery schedules
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel
- Document delivery exceptions and provide timely updates on shipment status
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with all traffic laws
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment safely
- Strong knowledge of Southern California roadways and traffic patterns
- Excellent time management and route optimization skills
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings and weekends
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging systems
