Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks over long distances while adhering to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes to ensure timely delivery of freight across multiple states
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting all maintenance needs
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation (ELD compliance) for all shipments
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and clients regarding shipment status
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Represent the company professionally at client facilities and during stops
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable OTR experience with tanker or flatbed endorsements preferred
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, Hours of Service, and safety compliance
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management and route planning skills
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Pass background check and drug screening (required)
- Willingness to travel overnight and work flexible schedules
