Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following all traffic laws and DPS protocols
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Supervise student conduct during transport and enforce safety rules
- Report mechanical issues and maintenance needs promptly
- Assist students with boarding/exiting and mobility needs
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatchers
- Maintain accurate attendance and route documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Colorado Driver's License (Class R)
- Ability to obtain CDL with School Bus Endorsement (training provided)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Minimum 3 years driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility
- Clear background check and driving record review
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible hours (early mornings/afternoons)
