Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and extracurricular events
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Enforce safety protocols and student discipline policies
- Maintain accurate attendance and incident reports
- Communicate effectively with parents and school staff
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and driving schedules
- Operate specialized equipment (wheelchair lifts, etc.) when needed
Qualifications
- Valid Ohio driver's license with clean record
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong commitment to student safety
- Basic mechanical knowledge for inspections
- Patience and excellent communication skills
- Ability to obtain CDL Class B with P endorsement (training provided)
- Physical ability to assist students with mobility needs
