Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and field trips following designated routes
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain student discipline and ensure a positive, safe environment
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and safety protocols
- Complete daily trip logs and maintenance reports
- Assist students with mobility needs (wheelchairs, special equipment)
Qualifications
- Valid Missouri Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger endorsement
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience
- Pass background check and DOT physical examination
- Child safety certification or willingness to obtain
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage student behavior professionally
- Basic mechanical knowledge for vehicle troubleshooting
- Flexible availability for early morning/afternoon shifts
