Responsibilities
- Drive school buses along assigned routes in a safe, timely, and courteous manner.
- Ensure the safety of students by supervising behavior, assisting with loading and unloading, and monitoring the bus interior.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and hazard-free bus environment.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Communicate effectively with school staff, dispatchers, and parents regarding route changes or student needs.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, district policies, and safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical examination.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
