Responsibilities
- Safely operate your box truck for local deliveries within Detroit metro area
- Load/unload freight efficiently using provided equipment
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork
- Adhere to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and basic maintenance
- Optimize routes for timely deliveries
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement
- Minimum 2 years box truck experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in 3 years
- Reliable, DOT-compliant box truck (26ft max)
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Smartphone with GPS and data access
