Responsibilities
- Safely operate school bus routes on designated schedules
- Conduct pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Manage student boarding, seating, and exiting protocols
- Enforce bus safety rules and disciplinary measures
- Maintain clean and orderly bus interior
- Communicate effectively with parents and school staff
- Adhere to all traffic laws and district policies
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- School Bus Driver Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Clear driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students
- Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
- Prior experience with children preferred
- Ability to work flexible morning/afternoon hours
