Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks for material transport on construction sites and haul routes
- Conduct thorough pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Load/unload materials using proper techniques and equipment protocols
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, safety standards, and traffic laws
- Coordinate with dispatch and site supervisors for efficient route optimization
- Perform basic preventative maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly
- Maintain clean driving record and professional conduct at all times
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean MVR
- Minimum 2 years verifiable dump truck driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check
- Familiarity with California roadways and construction site protocols
- Strong focus on safety and defensive driving practices
- Basic equipment troubleshooting capabilities
- Ability to work flexible hours including early starts and weekends
- Physical capability to operate heavy machinery in varying conditions
