Responsibilities
- Operate box trucks (20ft-26ft) to transport freight safely and efficiently within the San Diego metropolitan area and surrounding regions.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and proper maintenance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper handling and protection of goods.
- Maintain accurate digital logs (EOBR) and ensure all paperwork is completed on time.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules, delays, and any issues.
- Adhere strictly to all local, state, and federal driving regulations and traffic laws.
- Represent the company professionally at all times, maintaining a clean driving record.
Qualifications
- Must own a clean, well-maintained box truck (20-26ft) suitable for freight.
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B (depending on truck size).
- Current DOT medical card and valid liability insurance.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional driving experience in the logistics industry.
- Strong knowledge of navigation systems and route planning in the San Diego area.
- Must possess a clean DMV record (no major violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to lift and handle freight (up to 50lbs) and work independently.
