Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following strict safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Supervise student conduct during transport ensuring a positive experience
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local transportation regulations
- Manage student loading/unloading procedures with precision
- Complete accurate daily trip logs and incident reports
Qualifications
- Valid Louisiana Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus endorsement
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience
- Pass background check, drug screening, and DOT physical
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work early morning/afternoon hours
- Strong attention to detail and safety-conscious mindset
- High school diploma or equivalent required
