Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and extracurricular activities
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle maintenance logs
- Enforce safety protocols and manage student behavior
- Communicate effectively with parents and school administrators
- Navigate complex routes efficiently using GPS systems
- Report incidents and maintain accurate transportation records
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with P/S endorsement
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience
- Clean driving record and passing background check
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Strong communication skills and patience working with children
- Knowledge of Louisiana traffic laws and school bus regulations
