Responsibilities
- Transport students safely and on time to and from school and school-related activities.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students while loading, unloading, and during the trip.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus environment.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and school personnel regarding schedule changes or student issues.
- Follow all traffic laws and company safety policies strictly.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.
- Excellent driving record with no DUIs or reckless driving convictions in the last 3-5 years.
- Pass a comprehensive background check, including a criminal history and fingerprinting.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact positively with children.
- Reliable and punctual attendance record.
