Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school and school-sponsored activities along designated routes.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment on the bus at all times.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Monitor student behavior and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and school policies.
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws, speed limits, and Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, parents, and school administrators regarding route changes or delays.
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the bus, including students with special needs when required.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B with Passenger endorsement (or willingness to obtain through our paid training program).
- Ability to pass a mandatory background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record review.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact positively with children and parents.
- Flexibility to work early morning hours (before 6:00 AM) and occasional afternoons.
