Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks for local/regional freight delivery routes in St. Louis metro area
- Load/unload shipments with proper documentation and pallet jack operation
- Maintain DOT compliance logs, vehicle inspections, and maintenance schedules
- Optimize routes using GPS navigation to meet tight delivery deadlines
- Communicate proactively with dispatch team for real-time load updates
- Represent Metro Freight Solutions with professional customer interactions
- Complete post-trip reporting and digital documentation via mobile app
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck/straight truck experience
- Proof of commercial insurance ($1M liability coverage)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and operate pallet jacks
- Strong knowledge of St. Louis metro area and surrounding regions
- Must own/operate DOT-compliant box truck (26' max length preferred)
- Smartphone proficiency for digital dispatch communication
- Pass background check and drug screening
