Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses following all traffic laws and district policies
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Supervise students during loading/unloading and ensure proper seatbelt usage
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and emergency procedures
- Maintain accurate attendance and route documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with airbrake and passenger endorsements
- Minimum 2 years driving experience
- Clean driving record and passing background check
- First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate wheelchair lifts
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
